Are you a Soca Freak? Do you listen to soca music all year round? Are you a die-hard fan?
If you're a real lover of this genre of music, this site is for YOU. If you listen to it in and out of season, then you're in the right place.
In fact, for true fanatics, there is nothing like "out of season". True supporters of this music listen to it whether it's Carnival time or not!
This is where SocaFreak.com comes in. We take zero breaks! 24/7, 365 days a year, we keep it blazing. We go from mas to mas.
There's a carnival happening somewhere in the world as you read. Artistes are releasing songs in your country, some part of the Caribbean or the world at large right now. Wanna hear this music? It's all here. You've made the right choice.
On this website, I do all the dirty work for you. I go from site to site, blog to blog and forum to forum searching for new music for your listening enjoyment. I scour the Internet in search of mp3s of the latest releases so you can download for free.
Not only that...
As an ARTISTE myself, I am connected to the "names" in the industry who send new music to my inbox daily. I am contacted by artistes and producers who want me to share the music with you free of charge. I'm like your slave making it happen for you and saving you hours upon hours of tiresome work.
I'm sure you don't want to go through the hassles. I'm sure you prefer a site which has it all. One website that you can go to for the latest tunes as well as old school soca music, without having to do countless Bing/Google searches or painstakingly go from one site to another.
You will find various playlists on this site. Some of them contain hundreds of songs. This makes it easy to hear the different releases from respective countries. Just click "play" and let it run. Better than having to search for song after song at some other site. Many of these playlists have a download feature that allows you to download your favourite songs for free.
If iz bacchanal u want, iz bacchanal u go get! Soca Freak is the biggest fete on the Internet. It tun up! LOUD!!!
Tell a friend and keep coming back for more. And while you're at it, it would be nice if you share pages of interest via your twitter or facebook profile.
The good thing about a site like this is that it's undiluted. All you get here is carnival related music and info. I pay tribute to calypso, the mother of soca music, as well as steel pan. But unlike other sites, don't expect to hear any other genre of music. Don't expect to read any discussion if it's not about kaiso, ragga, chutney and a little bouyon here and there. I keep it pure.
You can read lyrics, read up to date soca news, watch videos, watch soca monarch performances live, listen to radio stations, participate in discussions. Just name it.
All soca producing nations are featured here. You can hear music from the mecca, Trinidad and Tobago as well as St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Grenada, St Kitts and Nevis, Antigua, Barbados, Guyana and Dominica, to name a few.
Check out soca music from the leading artists in the business, such as Machel Montano, Bunji Garlin, Shurwayne Winchester, Destra Garcia, Iwer George, Kevin Lyttle, Skinny Fabulous, and many others. Listen to the music of smaller, less established artists alike. I don't discriminate.
Okay! I've said enough. Time to get mad!!! Check out the various pages in the navbar on the left. Take out your rag! Take out your flag! And leh we mash up de place!!!
