Tallpree...Playing a “Wicked Jab” on Fantastic Friday

Tallpree

Port-Of-Spain, Trinidad (Sonique Solutions) –Carnival 2010 in Trinidad and Tobago marks the return of the dynamic and charismatic Tallpree to the International Soca Monarch stage.

The Grenadian Soca powerhouse whose real name is Wilt Cambridge has made a major impact in the land of Oil and Music with his hit songs and unique style of delivery. After placing third in the International Soca Monarch a decade ago with the monster tune “Ole Woman”, Tallpree has done extensive tours of the Caribbean region and North America and will once again be representing Grenada in the finals of the 2010 edition of this major global Soca competition.

For Carnival 2K10 Tallpree has thrilled audiences at every major event including Fire Fete, One Fete, Blue Range’s annual all inclusive and most recently at the famous WASA Fete. Riding high on his Soca smash “Wicked Jab” on the Gutter Riddim, Tallpree has consistently left the masses yearning for more.

The spike-haired performer who also brought us Soca classics such as "Tallpree Dance" and “The Grave, The Jail and The Hospital” recently has been a regular guest artiste with Bunji Garlin, Fay-Ann Lyons and The Asylum Band. In addition to putting on a world class showing at these numerous gigs in T&T, this consummate artiste has also been busy crafting his new offerings for this year’s Grenada Carnival.

Tallpree, who remains very humble and grateful to be in T&T, has been able to capitalize on his momentum from last year’s Labour Day (New York) and Miami Carnival celebrations and gain the attention of top Caribbean promoters. He maintains that this is just the beginning and that he has huge plans for 2010.

As he now prepares to compete with the Caribbean’s finest Soca stars on February 12th in Trinidad, he plans to render a presentation for “Wicked Jab” that will not only captivate an international audience but one that will truly embody and showcase the distinct talent, culture and spirit of his hometown Grenada.

For Carnival 2K10 and beyond Tallpree will be “jabbing” his way to new musical career heights.
