i did not like the judging of the show because Miss digicel did not perform for her to get miss carnival . my sister miss piton did much better than that girl. these judges were bias because digicel sponsored the show they made that girl win.But in my heart i know my sister is a queen and a much bigger queen

Carnival queen show by: Berth
I did not attend the Queen Show, but after listening to the news I heard Miss Digicel won. However, what was puzzling is that if Miss Piton won so many prizes how comes she did not emerge the winner.After all it indicates she winning all those prizes means she scored very high. Did Miss Digicel win any prizes? I would love to know how the marks were distributed and what made Miss Digicel emerge winner.

To Berth: it was said that she was very consistant throughout and miss piton's costume and dress were ridiculously hideous (they were marked on appearance of dress and costume and not potrayal for the record) and miss digicel won best costume which was actually a prize for the look of the costume and not the potrayal which was not the best on her end. if you ask me miss st lucia tourist board deserved to get best costume because hers was beautiful and the potrayal was unmatched. if you're not sure make your judging for yourself. partyaccess has most of the show except for most of the costume and talent segment there you can have a fair idea of what went on. the way i see it miss digicel needs to be a big little lady and give up that crown because she wasn't rightfully deserving of it on the night. maybe as a person she is but on that night somebody proved to be better capable and that's what matters. right now the public is very displeased and eating her alive for something she had no control over. in light of that she should give the crown to the rightful winner for this year, not being bias, but it would at least put the people on her side because the public will see her for the upright person she's claimed to be and love her for it. to the panel of judges compared to every person at that show; everyone cannot be so wrong and so blind all in the same direction all at once there must have been something there that everyone saw that was obviously overlooked by the judges who by the way i think should be blamed and not poor miss digicel who has not yet been able to enjoy her reign.

as a former carnival quuen, and an audience member on the night in question, i was very much taken aback when miss digicell was announced victor of the pageant. More to the point, my mouth must have stayed open in absolute disbelief. I am of the opinion that miss Piton was the most deserving by way of performance on the night of the pageant. I'm not sure if the judges were blinded or whether the results got mixed up on the way to the stage. i think its time we get real people who are affiliated with the whole field of theatre and pageantry to judge these competitions, rather than people in high places with no semblance on how to score a contestants performance.
I think that miss digicel should denownce her crown, but hey, thats only my opinion.
