Samantha “Soca Princess” Combie, born on the isle of St. Lucia an unsuspecting young talent. At the age of 16, she joined a choir as a practical joke and came to realize her talent and took up writing her own music. Being from the Caribbean, she has always been exposed to soca and this influenced her interest in that genre of music. She began her soca career in 2007 with song “Like This” which was produced by one of Nadia Batson’s Producers Kacy Phillips from Trinidad. In 2008, she sang a soca hit “Juke” which was written by her self and produced by Mugs. Her latest offering “Watch Me” was written and produced by Peter Mathius from St. Lucia. Soca Princess currently resides in the UK where she has sang for the past 4 years for black history month in East London. She is currently registered under the Association of British Calypsonians (ABC) and will be competing in the Groovy Soca competition in the UK 09. As you know, Soca Princess is currently registered and singing under the Take Over Tent(T.O.T.) in St.Lucia.
