SKINNY FABULOUS DESERVED TO WIN CROWN.

The standard of St Vincent's calypsos is still pitifully low. However the big four (Skinny, Fireman, Problem Child and Madzart) dominated, as usual. This category is complimented by Joy C, Pressure, and Luta.
Skinny won the crown, not because of his lyrics, (which were very hollow)or because of his music, but simply because of his STAGE PERFORMANCE and audience involvement.
SKINNY was "average" like most of the other performers, but his stage performance was head and heels above everyone else. He invested (spent money) in presenting the best performance of the night with the largest, and best choreographed contingent of dancers and supporting crew.
Skinny was original to some extent in this regard, but NOBODY came close to rivaling him in this department! First, he rose from below the stage on an elevated platform after his Energizer Bunnies had hyped the audience and had us looking for him.
Secondly, he planted at least sixty of his supporters in the audience (dressed alike) who moved to his commands....and this spread through the audience like wildfire and had almost everyone moving to his directions.
Finally, his EXIT from the stage was nothing short of spectacular. He went into the Charging Chamber, GOT CHARGED UP and emerged literally on fire.
Nobody moved the audience like Skinny, and folks actually started leaving he Park after his presentation sensing his apparent victory.
SKINNY WAS CHARGED UP!
