Silver hails from San Fernando, South Trinidad and has been culturally active since 1978 when she started entering calypso competitions in school as a vocalist and as a writer. Silver joined the Calypso Revue headed by veteran Michael “Sugar Aloes” Osuna from 1996-2000 as a background vocalist. In 2003, Silver joined “House of Stars” and did her first professional recording “Mookie” as she replied to Jamesey P’s hit, “Nookie”. Silver also replied to Edwin “Crazy” Ayoung’s composition of “Phone Card Reply” at Crazy’s request; Wayne “Impulse” Modeste’ composition “Talking Dog”, Red Plastic Bag’s “Wrong Gal” and this year “Pipeless Man”, the reply to “Pipe”. Hence the public branded her, “The Replier” because of her prolific lyrics and hard hitting responses.

In 2010, Silver was the lone female vocalist headlining “D Carnival Maxi 2k10”, a cultural promotion which took 6 artist including General Grant, Kerwin Du Bois, Tallpree from Grenada, Pelf and Snakey, a rhythm section, dj, live broadcast to bars all across the country from Santa Flora to Macoya, Woodbrook to Tobago just to name a few. During this cultural mission, Silver rendered her single “Chit Chat” which talked about talkative man, she sang “dey talking bout bang, when dey get bang bang dey cyah handle it!” and of course her hit “Pipeless Man”.......”He say he selling pipe, what kinda pipe, he say he selling pipe yet you cannot see the Pipe, dat Pipeless Man!

Silver is set and ready for carnival 2k11 with her first release “Keep Yuh Man” on the Maniac Riddim, telling the ladies the things they need to do in order to keep their man. “NoTalking” will follow, written by Jason “Shaft” Bishop and arranged by Kerwin Du Bois and Silver will do a collaboration on the said riddim with Snakey.
