CARIBBEAN INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION LAUNCHES THE FIRST

Ocean Breeze Music Festival and Conference Antigua,W.I.

New York, NY (November 16, 2009) The Caribbean Recording Industry Association(C.R.I.A) under the banner of Ocean Breeze Music Festival and Conference, will launch its first business music conference and festival in Antigua, West Indies from Friday November 12th through Sunday November 14th, 2010. This conference and festival will be held annually.

C.R.I.A, hopes that this business music conference and festival in a Caribbean venue, will aid in the development of the music industry of the region. The mission of C.R.I.A, through the Ocean Breeze Music Festival and Conference is to bring together in Antigua, speakers, artists, promoters, radio stations, agents, retailers, publishers, record labels, corporations, government officials and professionals to discuss the challenges facing the music industry and the latest trends.

The music business worldwide is facing numerous challenges and, notwithstanding, the music of the Caribbean region has lagged far behind; therefore, solutions to these challenges are extremely urgent.
The conference will discuss the most relevant issues facing the industry.

Included will be an in-depth look at emerging technologies and how they will and should impact the music of the region. The need for a Caribbean music market place will be stressed, with the hopes of bringing together all shareholders in the region and placing emphasis on the future of the music industry and what it holds for the Caribbean.

Some of the ?Brightest Stars? of Caribbean music, featuring legends and up and coming stars will perform under the banner of Ocean Breeze Music Festival and Conference over three days in Antigua. November 12 ? 14, 2010, will be the place to see some of the best acts in every genre; from Caribbean hip hop to soca.
