Lack of information about how Calypsonians get their names that they are called in the calypso arena?

I have been looking for 2 weeks how Mighty Chalkdust got that name. I have seen everything except that.

From the Calypsonians (calypsoians) I know, the sobriquet is acquired from elder artistes. It's a title that's given like being knighted. It's an honor to receive your kaiso monicker from an established calypsonian. I would think that Chalkdust got his because of his white shock beard. And he's a noted professor at the University of the West Indies in St. Croix. (hence blackboard/chalk)

I THINK CHALKDUST GOT HIS NAME FROM BEING A SCHOOLTEACHER IF MY MEMORY IS CORRECT.
