Help Identifying Two Soca Songs
by Brad
(Denver)
Hi All - Last year, I was in the market in Castries, St. Lucia and bought a personal soca mix CD from one of the vendors. I've been able to identify all the songs except two with Soundhound. Other songs are from the '80's and '90s - maybe these are too? Can you guys help me?
1) Starts with police siren and dispatcher talking, then the music starts with "New York, Francais,..." Chorus includes "everybody join the show" and "dance sister dance sister"; the siren cuts back in a couple of times; later I can pick up "problems problems every time" and "we're going to have some problems here".
2) Starts with "time to let them go. Some gals think they're freaky, some gals think they're fun..leave with a broken heart". Repeat of "let her go" then "some gals like to be happy..let him go. Now if your man be your problem, let him go. He won't even pay your rent, let him go". "Life is not a bed of roses..."
Can't get these songs out of my head. I'd like to know the artists so I can get more!
Thanks.
