Helena B who are one of the UK's hottest soca artists has been performing for the past 13 years in the Calypso/ Soca arena. She spent 3 years as a lead vocalist for UK based band Front page. She started as a back up singer, for artists including the Baron, Ronnie Mcintosh, Sparrow, KMC, Iwer George, Denise Belfon, Machel Montano, Mr Slaughter, Singing Sandra, Crazy, Sheldon Douglas, Inspector, Peter Humphrey and many more. She also performed at the Kaiso house Calypso tent in Trinidad and Tobago at carnival 2006. Helena B has been participating in the London Calypso tent at Yaa Asantewaa centre for 5 years now. In 2005 she was the crowned Calypso Monarch. In the starting of the 2010 season Helena B were signed by Combination Studio. She was nominated for the Best Calypso Artist at the 2010 6th Annual Calabash Awards in the UK where she won it in style. Look out for more releases from her as she progress up the ladder.
