I do agree that too many artists have music based on the same rhythm and so at the beginning of the song you start singing one song when it is another but I am very pleased overall with the quality of the music this year. It is so good to have Allison Hinds, Square One and Rupee with not just one, but several good songs out this year! I also love all of Edwin's music as well.

In terms of DJs playing Pong and Contone only I do not necessarily agree because I can honestly say that I have heard all of the music on this list on the radio but I do agree that more needs to be done to police the rotation of songs on the radio, especially since we do have DJs who also manage artists or music studios and this can be an obvious source of bias in the selection of the songs that are heard and this fact cannot be overlooked.

I love the music this year! Have a happy and safe Crop Over everybody!!!!

This is a great idea. Two weeks ago I said to a friend associated with Cave Shepherd All Stars Tent that, imagine we are here in Louisville and can't hear any of the sweet Crop Over music! Keep this website going. Great Job!

I feel that the Barbados djays do not play the new commers music, all i am hearing is PON, CONTONE MICKEY etc etc..... Please give the others a chance. djay Chilli, u does a fanstic job with the artist keep up the good work.and maybe Hurricane,Alvin Copin,Dave Smooth can learn from you,they need to stop playing the artist music that are already known. there is a lot of new artist whos music sound great but u do not hear any of the sound on the radio, you have D2,Sherwin straker,kahlie please give these people a chance they have great songs.

Hi, love your site. However, as a person who collects crop over music every year (and not pirate), it would be nice to have the name of the albums listed so that I can go and purchase it directly as opposed to having to go with the name of a song "that sometimes the person in the store is not familiar with" and then with me not being a singer have to try and hum a tune to see if they recognise the song.
